ariella kirschbaum is a ceramic artist whose work balances form and function. with a deep fascination for how space influences emotion and dynamics, ariella’s creations invite a quiet dialogue between the object and its environment. drawing inspiration from the natural world, historical traditions, and ancient artifacts, ariella challenges the norms of mass production and aims to make the novel feel familiar. all of her pieces are hand built, encouraging introspection and sparking imagination. since discovering clay in 2021, ariella has been on an uncharted creative journey, initially exploring ceramic instruments with unique tunings and forms, and now focusing her craft on the art of lighting design.

ariella has her bachelor’s and master’s in africana studies and teaching from bard college in new york and she lives and works in los angeles. she spent six months in india, senegal, and argentina studying cultures and city planning through the international honors program.

her work has been included part of interior design articles in domino, the new york times, architectural digest, the local project, homes and gardens, and vogue living.

ariella works closely with interior designers, private clients, and musicians to build custom pieces for their individualized aesthetics, budgets, and spaces. reach out to inquire about available works, commissions or custom projects.
